WORK WITH YOUR FAVORITE DESIGN SOFTWARE
STEPCRAFT will give you the ability to take a drawing or design from your favorite CAD (computer aided design) or graphics program and quickly and easily turn it into a workpiece. Our customers use all kinds of CAD software from Solidworks and Autocad, or free software like Sketchup. You can design 2 and 3 dimensional projects in commercial programs like CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, or free software like Inkscape. Those designs can be milled, carved in 3D on material of your choice, or even 3D printed (with the optional 3D Print attachment).
Yes, it is true that you can STEPCRAFT machines need more than an idea in your imagination to become a reality, but with such a wide variety of software support options, you don’t need years worth of design experience to be successful fast.
We are a reseller of very popular programs from VECTRIC; Cut 2D, Cut 3D, Photo VCarve, and V-Carve, which all have design capabilites built right in. Within the same program you can output the Gcode that will control your STEPCRAFT machine – Nothing can be simpler!
MORE MATERIAL CHOICES THAN ANY OTHER SYSTEM
With a STEPCRAFT machine, the workpiece materials are virtually unlimited!. Using a spindle of your choice you can easly mill and carve materials like hard and soft woods, thermoplastics (PS (polystyrene, such as Styrofoam ®, EPS, Depron ®, Selitron ®), ABS, PE (polyethylene), PP (polypropylene eg EPP) Weich-/Hart- PVC, Lexan ®, polyamide, Plexiglas ®), some elastomers / thermosets, mixed materials, such as DIBOND ® or Carbon fiber and more. With a heavier-duty spindle, like the STEPCRAFT HF 500, you can easily mill non-ferris metals like brass, copper or aluminum. With the use of an engraving bit, the STEPCRAFT machine is perfect for engraving or processing circuit boards.
If you are tired of making dust and chips, you can quickly switch from milling, carving and engraving, and venture into the additive manufactuing process of 3D printing by adding the STEPCRAFT 3D Print System to the machine. Using the 3D Print System, you can utilize material like PVA, PLA, ABS, Nylon, PET and new specialty filaments like TPE, Soft PLA, Laybrick, Laywood, Conductive PLA and more.
By switching to the Drag Knife attachment, your STEPCRAFT machine can convert to a vinyl cutter, scrapbooking cutter, craft machine and more. STEPCRAFT is not just a guy’s machine for the workshop, it is a system that the whole family can enjoy.
The STEPCRAFT Hot Wire Cutter will allow you to cut a wide variey of foam material to make letters, crafts, hobby and model parts and more.
The Pen Plotter tool, will transform your STEPCRAFT into a digital plotter where you can transfer your designs onto a variety of materials like fabrics (for transferring patterns), wood, paper, posterboard and much more.
You can turn your STEPCRAFT into CNC engraver by using our optional Engraving tool, which will allow you to scratch engrave on soft metals like brass, copper and aluminum. You can also use an engraving bit on a spindle and open up the possibilites of things you can engrave.

INNOVATION AND QUALITY
The STEPCRAFT system includes many practical innovations that improve or simplify the work with the system: ultra stable STEPCRAFT profile system, integrated workpiece clamping system, easily adjustable clearance of the linear guides, seals for protection against dirt and integrated/modular control electronics just to name a few.
To ensure sufficient accuracy and stability of the machine, the STEPCRAFT aluminum profile series has been developed. It consists of two different linear track profiles and the cover profile. All other connecting elements consist of aluminum or stainless steel and together with the profiled structure they ensure the required rigidity. The stepper motors from Nanotec® have been carefully selected and specifically adapted to exactly fit the machine. The electronics have been specially designed to match the characteristics of the motors so that sufficient power for a reliable operation of the CNC system is ensured.
EASY TO ASSEMBLE, OR READY-TO-RUN
STEPCRAFT systems are shipped as a kit. You can expect the average assembly time to be from 5-7 hours. No special skills or tools are required. There is no cutting, drilling or tapping required – simply bolt all the components together while following our easy to understand, full color assembly manual.
You need to provide a Spindle of your choice, such as the Dremel 4000, Proxxon IBS/E, Kress 800 watt ad Kress 1050watt. STEPCRAFT also has a professional HF-500 spindle for more demanding projects.
